There was so much that went wrong in this fight starting from the opening bell when Maidana was able to stun Broner with a short hook in less than 20 seconds into the round. For Maidana, he seem to have come prepared with all the answers for the "Problem" Adrien Broner.
For 12 long rounds Adrien Broner threw every punch in the book, but he just could not land the right punch. Honestly, I cannot recall one time when the new champ Marcos Maidana was even remotely hurt. Was Broner was dropped for the second time of the night I knew he had no choice but to pull out a knock out.
After losing by a unanimous decision, one is left to think, will this make A.B change his image? Will he become a little more humble in, and out of the ring?
Throughout the night you can clearly see Broner crying to the ref about the dirty shots Maidana was sneaking in there, but I believe it was simply a cry for help as A.B realized he was taking a lot of physical punishment from the hands of Marcos Maidana.
Sorry ladies and gentlemen, but we will not be seeing the next miracle in the boxing arena as we all thought, but one thing we can count on, and that is the fact that we will see more of Adrien Broner now that he has something to prove!
